Community organizing turns serious… but fun!

I went to the bank today. Not exactly the bank, but an administration building of Chase. Big banks here are getting the blame (deservedly) for a lot- including ‘foreclosing’ and chucking people out of their homes, and causing the destruction of neighbourhoods.

Part of a community organiser’s job is to organise ‘actions’ when protests can be made. And this is a practical course. So we organised a protest, got into school buses, and went off to Chase to hand a letter protesting about their policies.

I’m glad to say that no-one was arrested and I haven’t been deported. Apparently it was all entirely legal! First Amendment, and all that…
