US Healthcare Debate: comment by Sojourners’ Jim Wallis

The United Methodist building, home to the PC(USA) Washington Office and other faith-based advocacy offices is just out of shot to the left. Behind the photographer is the Capitol building.

There is a huge debate here over healthcare, and President Obama’s legislation which ensures all Americans have health insurance (sometimes known as ‘Obamacare’). I will have to write more about this, but here is an opinion piece from online newspaper the Huffington Post (an ‘op-ed’, as they say here) by Sojourners founder Jim Wallis which takes a faith perspective on the matter, shortly after key ruling on its legality by the Supreme Court.

(See also the comments by J Herbert Nelson on the what are- to me- the strange attitudes Americans have on this issue).
